2 - A quick note about community
There is a community supporting school seismic safety in our state. Please join us.
There is an awesome, active and expert community of support in our state for school seismic safety. When I learned back in 2017 school seismic safety was an issue I started reaching out to many experts and community leaders.
There are many people who enthusiastically answered my calls and emails. And they still do. I am so grateful for this.
This community wants to help and do the right thing for our kids.
And we need your help as concerned community to join us.
The ultimate goal is to ensure state legislators plan and fund school seismic safety long term.
In these newsletters I will also showcase how this community is involved in school seismic safety. This will include things like advocating, ShakeAlert (earthquake early warning) and outreach such as how we can get kids involved.
All of these areas bring us together as a community and this indirectly strengthens our community as an added benefit. It’s part of the journey.
I want to give a shout out to the community supporting. Thank you for all you do!
